Bridging from the work started by She Steps Forward Ministries in 2016, She Steps Forward International was established in 2020. Though the world was in the middle of the COVID crisis, God was working. So stepping out in faith, SSFI was launched and we began laying the foundation for what you see today!

She Steps Forward International is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible in full or in part. EIN: 85-2976821

Our mission is to assist uniquely gifted hearts in creating viable, sustainable paths in business, ministry, or nonprofit work, allowing women to answer the call on their life while bringing about transformational change in the lives of those they serve.

We work in both the United States and Kenya to inspire and equip faith-based, female entrepreneurs (or those considering entrepreneurship) who are between the ages of 25-65+ to step forward with the dream God has given them.

We also empower and support established, women-led businesses, ministries, and nonprofits in the States and Kenya who are making a difference in their communities.

Lastly, we provide humanitarian assistance to three specific outreaches in Nairobi, Kenya simply because this is how God has led us to give back.

The goal of our annual US-based SSFI Women's Conference is to inspire and motivate everyday Christian women that they have a call on their life in the area of entrepreneurship! While we design the conference to have a little something for everyone, we are intentional about providing support and direction to those who feel led to start businesses, ministries, and nonprofits.

In that, while we have a time of corporate teaching and worship, entrepreneurs will find that we provide informative and practical breakout sessions in order to propel them forward in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

Attendees who desire further support outside of conference can reach out to us to inquire about our monthly membership program or our biannual group coaching cohorts. By providing these two services, conference attendees can continue to dive deeper into their personal and professional development through the year between conferences.

The other benefit of attending conference is that you will learn about our Seed Money Grant program that awards small seed money grants coupled with short-term coaching to qualified recipients that have shown extraordinary effort in moving their dream to the launch stage.

Attendees may also engage any of our main session or breakout session speakers if they find a specific speaker provides a service they need. Our SSFI team is comprised of seasoned coaches. We closely vet all of our speakers and are happy to endorse them and their services.

We love meeting new people who have something to bring to the table! All potential speakers are welcome to submit their bios, contact information, and an outline of what they would like to present at conference by emailing us at info@shestepsforwardinternational.org

Potential speakers must:
*Have an established (licensed) business, ministry, or nonprofit that is over one year in operation.
*Be willing to serve as a breakout session speaker. Our internal SSFI team serves as the main session speakers at each conference.
*Be able to present a breakout session that provides valuable inside information on how to establish a business, ministry, or nonprofit (sharing their own experience) or present a topic that personally and/or professionally builds up a woman's ability to lead a business, ministry, or nonprofit.
*Not use their breakout session time to promote their services, products, or other items (breakout sessions are a time of attendee learning, there is time to promote services and products through our vendor opportunities).
*Share our values that we are here to help each other first and offer our services second.

We reserve the right to select only those persons who meet the overall theme and purpose of the current SSFI Women's Conference.

Depending on the time of year and when we are contacted plays a large role in whether someone can be added to the current, upcoming conference schedule.

Please note that we plan our conference at least a year in advance and often begin a shortlist of speakers for the next year's conference immediately following the current year's conference.

This does not mean that from time to time we do not have open spots. However, spots are normally filled early.

The best way to position yourself to become a speaker is to engage us and attend the current year's conference so that you have a feel for our format. We'd especially love it if you personally introduced yourself at conference! However, previous conference attendance is not a requirement.

Each year, we have vendor opportunities available at conference. As a vendor, you have ample opportunity to self promote your products and services. Vendor tables are available for a fee. To get more information on How to be a Vendor at SSFI, please see our SSFI Women's Conference page!

We reserve the right to select only those vendors who align with the theme and purpose of our conference. Because vendor space is limited, our speakers get "first-choice" in having a table. Other vendors are selected for uniqueness, potential products/services that conference attendees want, and in a fashion that avoids product/service duplication.

Anyone who signs up to be a vendor will have their application reviewed by our internal SSFI team. If selected as a vendor, you will be notified at least 45 days prior to conference and the vendor fee will be requested. Please note - you are not considered a CONFIRMED vendor until both your application is approved and your vendor fee is received. Failing to comply with either application or fee deadlines will automatically disqualify you as a vendor.

*SSFI "Launch Your Dream" 5-Day Online Challenge: Every six weeks, the SSFI team hosts a 5-Day Challenge meant to inspire you and ground you in Biblical wisdom regarding faith-based entrepreneurship. *SSFI "Destined to Launch" Monthly Membership: Our monthly membership provides a low cost option for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain access to quality female coaches on a regular basis through several different avenues. *SSFI Group Coaching Cohort (beta group coming Fall 2025): Ready to be poured into from ideation to pre-launch by talented, passionate female coaches and entrepreneurs who remember what it's like to just be getting started? Our group coaching cohorts will experience a six-month intensive that covers everything you need to do a soft launch by the end of the program. Because every child and young teenage girl within the African Outreach programs are important to us, we take in general donations for each of the organizations caring for them. These organizations are led by some of the most Godly, passionate, female entrepreneurs we know and they have proven themselves to be hardworking, caring, and trustworthy. When you donate to one of the organizations listed within our African Outreach, you can rest assured that the child or young teenage girl you are hoping to help will receive the highest level of care possible, and all children and young teenage girls within these programs are cared for equally.

SSFI works to ensure that if you have specified your donation to go to a specific program that we honor that request.

When someone gives to our general fund, we use that gift to cover our organization's most outstanding needs, which could be an underfunded program or general administrative needs.

​At the end of each year, before January 31st the proceeding year, we send out SSFI Annual Donor Statements for tax purposes via your registered email (email you entered at the time of your donation). If you have established a SSFI donor account on our donation portal, you can retrieve your annual donor statement yourself on or after January 31st each year.

​We send out our SSFI Annual Report via email to donors each year before the end of April. You may also download this report yourself by going to our Financial Integrity page.

SSFI's donation portal accepts all major debit/credit cards (VISA™, MasterCard™, American Express™ or Discover™). The donation portal also accepts ACH payments.

When donating online, you may choose to make a one-time donation or to make your donation recurring on a monthly basis.

SSFI works directly with an independent CPA firm to verify and submit the proper financial documents to the IRS yearly and will begin an annual auditing process when appropriate.

We will also be working toward ECFA accreditation in the future.
